Embarrassing!

June 3, 2009 at 3:58 pm (Video) (, , , , , , , )

I just saw this commercial and got all choked up! Ridiculous. I tried to stop it. I tried to look away. I told myself, “Every trick in the book is being used here to make me cry—candles, destroyed homes, grieving couples, survivors, victory, defeat, the elderly, babies, picture albums, memories, soldiers coming home, people helping people, children singing a very popular, inspirational anthem, perfectly tied-in tagline—ugh–the humanity!”

And I used to WORK in an ad agency. Pathetic! I guess it’s not as bad as the Kodak commercial that used to get me ALL the time. Check it below.

Couldn’t find the Kodak Commercial…boohoo…But…

June 3, 2009 at 3:45 pm (Uncategorized)

The Kodak commercial of which I speak came out in the 90’s I believe, and had a father reminiscing about his daughter’s childhood, and then at the end they were dancing together at her wedding. Tearjerker! It gets me every single time. Especially AFTER I had my kids.

But, I couldn’t find it anywhere. If you know…let me know. They probably never posted it anywhere because its just too sad and crying and no one would get anything done.

So instead–enjoy these. Discovery Channel! Mike Rowe! (My future husband)…Plus they make you want to run outside and do something good on the Earth.

Mason’s New Lawnmower

June 3, 2009 at 3:24 pm (Day to Day) (, , , , , , , , , )

I usually like to type, but it’s been so long and Mason just wants this darn thing on the nets…Don’t go all thinking we’re just moneybags galore over here…it’s used…it’s on credit (no finance charges for a year) and we got THE super-duper-can’t-believe-we-said-it-and they-suddenly-had-one-at that-price deal! And if Mason can earn a few bucks over the summer cutting lawns all the better!
