Raccoon In A Can.
Just going to do this now, and move on with my life! We did not harm the creature. We rolled the can to the grass. Laid it down very slow and gently and opened the lid. We gave the can a little nudge and the raccoon ran out scared and confused while we just stood there waiting for it to pick a direction. End of story. Again, have a great day all!

And these children, who periodically shout out to me, from the other room, to go take a shower because they want me to drive them someplace before work. At any rate, this is the only picture I will ever be using of myself and the kids for a very long time. They are good looking and photogenic. I am not. I am breaking my cardinal rule of never having myself in a picture, because I actually kind of like this one. My daughter took it and BW’d it so I would appear more attractive. Also I am in the back, stretched a bit. This should give me a few more years play before I have to take another picture. This was from the Zoo Day that I still haven’t posted from. It’s coming I promise. And below, are 3 more pics, that you will also be seeing in the “About Us” section, if you ever look there, which I really don’t anymore, but have to, because I desperately need to update it. I was saving these just for that, but I was feeling like I needed something fast, and this was ready, and extremely general as a subject. Plus, my kids like seeing themselves when they open my page. I should prob post the zoo and beach pictures next, now that I have brought it up again because it’s a good chance to clear out another folder. But that damn work bell is calling. I have off tomorrow, and I am going to try to post more, but it’s school registration day, which I think I already talked about, and I have an entire list of things that I need to do before the weekend, that I have to work. Bummer. And speaking of lists…I figured out how to post the BF’s weekend list he texted me. I’m going to give it it’s own separate posting so I can add the pictures to accompany all the fun we had. We did the entire list, plus more. I think I said that already too. It will be much more exciting for you, and you will really feel like you were doing all these things with us, if you can see the pictures with the words. Both my kids really use technology. They love it. They embrace it. They are comfortable with it. And they use it well. They really don’t have a choice these days because we are fast leaving behind anything that doesn’t involve the internet and a computer or smart device. And I am constantly playing catch up. OK. This is just a quick post because I am off today and my kids want to do something other than sit in this house. We are going old school. Getting some food and heading to the fishing hole. Really. We were going to go to the beach, but we are also very lazy and did not get up with purpose today. Except Mason. Credit to him because he went to football camp and we layed around like vegetables. And now he is done until after the holiday. Good job. He looks good too. Anyway, we are going to go fishing like we used to when they were small. We mostly went because it was far enough away that they thought we were “going” somewhere and it was freeeeee! Now it’s just because we haven’t been there in a long time and it’s still freeeeeeeeee! That’s for the BF. Trying to spend less. Although the girl is already talking dinner, so…Without any more words. Later.

Now, if I really want to push the issue, I could blame my chest cold on my complete lack of trying–training–for the Warrior Dash. (And not just the weather). It’s legitimate. However, if I need someone or something to blame for my complete lack of STUDYING for this test I’m supposed to be taking, well then, I HAVE to blame the cable companies 100%. That’s right I said it. How dare they give us free movie channels?!? All weekend long! With free HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, Starz, TMC, Flix, and other stations that I’m not even sure what they are, how in the hell am I EVER supposed to go study?? Half the movies are crap anyway, but…I haven’t seen them or I have seen them but they suck you in, and they’re free. Freeeeeeeeeee…..I haven’t seen that movie on the list but I’m sure if they play it I will watch it. Ugh. Here’s a little re-cap of how I wasted Friday night:

Transformers. 2. (s-u-c-k-e-d, but I never saw it, and glad I didn’t waste any money in the theater to see it. It really was bad. sorry.)
Salt (saw it about 5 times already, and even watched it on DVD a mere three days ago with Stevie, but watched it AGAIN)
And we are already planning for later tonight. Easy A is being recorded (only saw that one 3 times and the BF has never seen it, so that makes it ok and a good excuse, plus, it’s really cute. I recommend that one for people exactly my age and with children, particularly girls…I won’t turn this into a giant movie review but trust, it’s good.)
Stevie wants to see Tooth Fairy and Grown Ups, (not interested and also seen 3 times) but I say, half the fun is just scrolling thru the guide and picking at random! Crazy Saturday nights! Man, I need to get a job quick! I should prob go study so I can make that happen.

Wacky Water Weekend With… / Friday Fun
So, after Mason cut all his grasses on Friday, we went to do my “Friday Fun Family Summer Project”.
Which as you may recall, I teased you with a few days ago…Benches of Love….???
Tinley Park, Illinois, just a few towns over from my own, has a lovely downtown area with shops and restaurants and a train station, businesses, etc., etc. They also have decorated benches. You know, the kind you sit on. I think they are kind of cool and I thought that we could go and park the car at one end of the main street, have a little snack and then walk up and down and take pictures of all the different designs. We could get ice cream?!? And it’s free! (The walking and picture-taking, not the ice cream) After a bit of wha..wha..wha…we went.
My other idea was to post the pictures one day at a time…kind of like…Bench of the Day, while my kids are gone. Again. On yet another vacation with their daddy. This time Monticello, IN. Indiana Beach. They go every year. And while they are gone….
See??…something to look at! I have pics with and without children. We will mix it up so you’ll never know which is coming!! Exciting AND unpredictable!!
