And last, but not least, all the way from summer…
The pictures I took of all those cool powerlines about 4 months ago, before my life became all about the nursing program. (I’m still in it, in fact I should be reading right now–test on Monday–nutrition, of course, everything else except vitamins, so it shouldn’t be too difficult—and I am coming out to the last two weeks here. Clinical is over for now. Skills are done. Just: Test. Lab Final. Course Final. Off track…) Anyhoo, power lines, bike rides, long long bike rides…check it here to read all about it
But these are them. Enjoy. I can still feel the tingle looking at them now. Good times.

Riding up to them. Looks pretty impressive. I was kind of in awe. There's something about all that power in one place that can kill you.

Doesn't that just make you want to find power lines and climb up them? No, well since the weather just turned massively ugly here...cold, blustery, overcast, with flakes of snow (NOOOO!!!!), this makes me want summer back.

The picture I love the most! I like the color and the angle...it was hard to tell if it came out because the day was really bright and I couldn't see to take the pic or to look at it after. Check out the plane flying across. And the moon. If I remember correctly the day was about to turn stormy. Captured forever.
Oh man, the news just keeps coming…Pocket Poker…defeated!
This is what I used to do before technology…Pocket Poker. If you have read any of the past posts…and really, why wouldn’t you? Is my life not just soooo exciting?? Don’t answer. The goal of the pocket poker is to get good hands (of cards) and get more points, with the ultimate goal of getting a Royal Flush! That would be an Ace, King, Queen, Jack, Ten…all of the same suit. Well, hold on to your hats folks….because I did it!!
Done and captured forever on camera:

I love how it just says, “WIN” on the top. I also got 3000 points for that little achievement.
No, none of this means anything in the actual world. I didn’t get any real money, or any phone calls from important people…in fact, no one really cared at all, except me. And you, of course, now that you know.
I continued to play off my giant win and I think I am down to 2095 points now, with no hope to ever win that kind of “money” again.
I kicked that game to the curb. The joy and thrill of winning is gone…plus it’s really old and the keys stick terrible. You have to really press on them to make them work and I was worried that it would stop altogether. So I have been searching for a new game. The ones out there are not good. Small. Annoying graphics. Weird digital numbers. Hard to read. But, as if in a cosmic alignment of the poker gods, just as I won the Royal Flush, a new game appeared on the horizon, sent from the heavens to gently land at the SuperTarget, and wait for me to stroll by one Friday night…The new, improved, updated version of my exact same game! And it works like a dream! Everything I wanted and more. It even has a light for playing at night! Same company, same style. The only difference is regarding the Royal Flush points. The old was 3000, the new is only 2500. Eh…details.
Here’s the picture that you knew would follow. Lights off. Lights on.

So as you can see, you are not really missing much with me being so busy with school. Still in it. Waiting for Christmas. I’ll have almost a month off between semesters. Just think all the random, unimportant *?!@#$%^&*! you’ll get to read about!
Next up, Challenger pics. I’m still seeing them out there driving around. Although by the time I can even get one, everyone will have one and it won’t have the same impact. Although that does save you all from having to look at the website of Challenger pictures I would most likely put up every single day…ha. I joke but…”here’s my car at school, and here’s one at the grocery store, here’s the car at my sister’s, here’s one at the bank…” it would be so sad. But I did get a new phone, so the pictures should be better! Also, I have been seeing alot, ALOT, of the new Camaro’s driving around looking all badass.
I never seem to be ready for the picture taking anymore.
Alright. Breakfast is cooking and I am running out of time before this computer shuts itself off. (I am limiting myself to battery power only.)
Back to the books.
Overdose!
Seriously. Analgesics and opioids. I feel like I am sedated right now. Of course I am on my third vodka martini. I call it a martini but it’s just vodka swished around in some ice and poured into a glass. Euphoria.
Saturday night. Kids are gone. I am waiting for my BF to get back from a night with the boys. A short night. We have the house and we need to catch up on some medical procedures.
While I am typing this I am watching the movie, “The Notorious Bettie Page”. Pretty interesting. I hardly even notice that it’s in black and white. I think it keeps changing into color and then back again. Marvin thinks its abnormal. It’s just costumes, she says. I think it’s ok. She was cutting edge…
Good vodka.
The movie is talking about taking a vacation. Florida of all places! I am there. There is nothing like having drinks on the beach near the ocean!
Here’s a pic. Let’s all pretend together.

Persecution fear complex! Nice word combination. If you know what I’m talking about…make a comment.
Bondage and sexual deviation. I better stop. The 50’s were quite scandalous. Murder and psychosis…reminds me of the wax museum. Pure evil.

Holy Cannoli! I am wasting alot of time today!
October 28, 2009 at 3:29 pm (Day to Day, News, Pictures, Random Images, School News) (Beef Roast, Betty Crocker, Comment, Crazy, Curls, Entertained, FaceBook, Flowers, Hair Style, Household, IM Injections, Money, New post, Oral Medications, Pictures, Poker, Pumpkins, Random Stuff, School News, Truck)
School is kicking my internet-loving, website-posting, useless-information-transportation, booty! Since I have already wasted the better part of a day doing “study avoiding” activities, a few more hours probably won’t matter.
If you follow my facebook…and of course you do…as I have no illusions that you would have found this randomly…you must be my friend and therefore linked to this site…you know that I have been off the radar for awhile but I completed another skill check, and I was, seriously, so happy that I did well I had to put up a funny little comment. It was for oral medication administration…which sounds fun huh? And I will not repeat myself with the lewd/ambiguous/slightly naughty status thingy. Trust that it was pretty clever. Ha.
It is though. Fun, that is. And I probably shouldn’t have jumped to post that info because I have to do the harder, and probably more important, injection skill next week. I could be crying in about 6 days…we’ll see…
Anyhoo, here’s some stuff. With pictures.
This is a truck that I keep seeing on my way to school. I finally got a pretty decent picture. I am not normally a huge fan of green for a vehicle, but this bright green with two-tone looks really cool. It’s a retired guy driving, but that shouldn’t matter, right?
This is a very, delicious roast beef that the BF made for us during the weekend of Mason's extreme fever flu blowout.
And, apparently, a very expensive roast also. I was told I didn’t want to know. How much is too much? What is a good price for meat? I am sorry to say, as a woman, a lousy housekeeper and definitely not a Betty Crocker, I really don’t know the price of good meat, or any meat for that matter. I stink at the household type stuff. I avoid buying anything related to cleaning and cooking if I can help it, and get really irritated when I am forced to.
Anyhow. If you care, and you have read this far…let me know! Drop a line. E-mail. Post. Comment. Whatever. I love hearing from the people that actually read this thing! You are all crazy and obviously easily entertained, like myself, and therefore you must be one of my peeps.
See? All the really important issues are here. Here’s another:
Stevie got a cut and perm. Looked beautiful for about a week...then all the curl fell out. Poor girl. Fine hair. It's a nice wave now though.
And of course…pumpkins!:
Try to guess who's is who's. Here's a hint...the round one weighs, like 30 pounds, and was one of the biggest you could buy. Hmmm? Who would have picked that one? I suppose this would look more dramatic lit up...
Um...nope. Probably need to wait until dark.
Well, I think that is definitely enough for now. I have an updated poker post AND street money. These are the really exciting things that I didn’t want to just add onto at the end of a long, possibly unread posting. Pictures are nice, but I’m no fool. People have short attention spans.
I’m not kidding about the poker and money thing. I got a GREAT ultimate score and I found a BIG bill of money (and alot of change over the last month).
It all adds up to edge-of-your-seat excitement. I was going to write seat-of-your-pants…either way, your pants will be involved somewhere in this scenario. And don’t forget…night is coming! That means pumpkins lit up in the dark! So much, for so little.
And we have more of the usual: camera pics, Mason coolpix, words, quotes, mumbo-jumbo, and flowers.
End post.
I’m just going to stop typing now.
