As expected, I did not win the Warrior Dash. It’s ok. I kind of figured when I didn’t hear my name called on Saturday. And now looking at my dismal hour plus finish…haha.

Really, it was over an hour. But not because I couldn’t do it. Mostly because I got stuck in an obstacle jam at the jumping Wall (not enough space for all of us to go over in a faster fashion) But I’m not complaining. I don’t really care anyway about the time. The whole thing was a blast!

I’m still finding pics and video on the internet from it. Looking at everyone’s stuff I already found us in a few. I’ll post as we see. We still have one more camera that my brother-in-law took with thru the mud and gunk!

On the Facebook site, you can really see some of the obstacles in other people’s pictures. The Swamp looks particularly gross and muddy, and the Hills look fun even thought they were killer. Up, down, up, down. I put that the Forest Trail Hills were my fav, but those grass hills are a close second!

Well, back to the real world now. I have to go register the kids for school and hit the trail with my son! The road calls.

(Did I mention, subscribing?? Link is over there, top right corner → )

This is the NEW FEATURE post, begging…that I typed last night while most normal people were sleeping. Didn’t want you to miss it! And you wouldn’t…if…??? And that’s all I’ll say.

Here is another random phone camera pic because I like to have them on the site!

Mason’s New Lawnmower

June 3, 2009 at 3:24 pm (Day to Day) (, , , , , , , , , )

I usually like to type, but it’s been so long and Mason just wants this darn thing on the nets…Don’t go all thinking we’re just moneybags galore over here…it’s used…it’s on credit (no finance charges for a year) and we got THE super-duper-can’t-believe-we-said-it-and they-suddenly-had-one-at that-price deal! And if Mason can earn a few bucks over the summer cutting lawns all the better!

Mother of the Year

May 12, 2009 at 2:59 pm (Day to Day) (, , , , , , , , , , , )

Well, I have to hurry. My son will be home in a few minutes and he has to go and cut the BF’s Mom’s grass…?? Anyway, since he has been working so hard cutting three lawns weekly and keeping up with school and basketball, and only complaining very minimally, I thought I would help him out today and cut our back grass.

Yes, very helpful. As I was cutting our grass, like I used to do all the time, I seem to have broken the automatic drive on the mower. That’s the part that spins the front wheels to make cutting a little easier. Moves the machine forward for you, and you just keep it straight.

Well, that part doesn’t work anymore, and I couldn’t fix it.

As a bonus, though, I got quite a workout, since that mower is extremely heavy and hard to push around our hilly lawn. Yay me.

And now my son will have a chance to work extra hard today because of me. I don’t know, maybe he can fix it. Maybe the BF can later.

At any rate, it doesn’t matter for the present moment because it don’t work NOW!

So, I thought I’d just post another running list while I wait for the wrath of my 11-year old dynamo.

I should have just went running for exercise like I planned and left the yard work to the boy. This is the Run Wild specific list. It’s long because I combined Wild and Crazy and the Jungle into one list. Wasn’t sure how many songs there would be. Turns out, ALOT.

Here it is: Running Wild & Crazy (Possibly in the Jungle)
