HAPPY
Brought to you by the Tinley Park “Benches” Summer Art Project. I don’t really know if that’s what it’s called, but it’s pretty cool. I drag my kids out every year to walk the few miles around the downtown streets of Tinley and take pictures of the benches. This year’s theme seems to be “America”. It’s the perfect way to kick off this little (hopefully) daily new feature. I had started posting them a year ago and never finished. So now I have this year and last year to catch up with.
I will be watching my son march in the parade today. For our town. He’s in the band. And I think there’s fireworks. So it should be a fun night.
Have a safe and happy Fourth wherever you are!
After yesterday’s bike ride the last thing I want to do is sit on something hard (!?!) Like a bench…?? (Sick)
Before I go on and on about what we did yesterday—bike riding adventure—you will be impressed…here is another bench from beautiful, downtown, Tinley Park! The theme is…

Superheroes! Or Spider-Man at least! Peter Parker!

I don't remember Spider-Man fighting these horrible creatures but I never read the comics. That green lizard guy is a mystery too!
Benches from outer space…
Why does this seem more difficult tonight (see previous post)??
Another bench. From… the future! (And outer space, I think)

What's funny, is that they don't know what this is. When I started to sing the theme song they thought I was making it up.
Dodge Challenger 14 / Walking Advantage
While walking around to capture all those wonderful bench images you have been seeing and will continue to see for another week or so, we walked right past the Bettenhausen Dodge dealership. Across the street, they have more cars (and more benches), but one vehicle in particular caught my camera eye. Can you guess?
Is it cheating? I say no. We weren’t looking for the Challenger, the Challenger was there already, waiting for us.
Damn, I love this car.

Sitting on a Bench with some guy…
Today’s bench is brought to you from the front of Bettenhausen Dodge. Home of my auto true love. (Post should be above this one)

My girl got the crazies!
Bench of Love. Second Installment.
Or maybe we’ll go with Bench of the Day! Keep a theme going here. Since I have no actual theme. Or is that the theme itself?
If anything the theme is: Shit That I Did 2 Days Ago And Am Telling You About Now or Everything Is Always Two Days Ago
Maybe if I put them in italics??
Shit That I Did 2 Days Ago And Am Telling You About Now
Everything Is Always Two Days Ago
Hmmm…I’ll have to think about it. Here is today’s bench (picture taken four days ago):

Don't they look excited to be helping me with this project?!?
