It’s Not Just Another Day

February 2, 2012 at 11:25 am (Blood Pressure, Body and Brains!, Day to Day, Employed Posts!, Job Search, Nurse News, Shameless Self Promotion) (, , , , , )

It’s my day OFF!!

Finally! I can say stuff like that again!

In case you’ve missed all my increasingly depressing and dreary postings in the last few months, I have been on a full time job search for a job of any time. And all my hard work has finally paid off. I didn’t want to jinx anything by declaring myself employed until I actually signed papers and got a start date. That would be yesterday. First day, all official like. Signed, payrolled, name-tagged, uniformed, bio-scanned, physicaled, TB’d, and scheduled up. I have today off and then I work all weekend and next week and so on and so on for as long as they let me. I have a full time schedule with full time pay and benefits in a place I consider to be pretty awesome so far. Everything I wanted and a little bit more. I’m sorry, ahead of time, but if you ask where or any other details, I have to say that I can’t answer. It’s policy not to broadcast anything over the internet, and I wouldn’t do it anyway. But know that it’s great and I am happy! When I see you in person, I’ll gush and gush, as you know I can! For now let’s just say I have a job and I can start paying back the cost of my education and then some.

That picture above is the first specific nurse related newspaper/journal/magazine that I have received as a new RN. I was pretty excited to see my name on it and to be included in the nursing community. It’s the small things. And it’s perfect for today! I wish the weather was a bit better but as long as there’s no snow I am happy with it. And, in case you were wondering, my BP issue is still happening but the work doc cleared me, and gave me some tips to help me keep it down. Turns out, I may have been sabotaging myself with all the water I was trying to drink. I will be asking my doctor today about that in addition to the low sodium diet. It’s very confusing and there are no clear answers. It’s good because I will be even more compassionate now for my patients who take BP meds, or anything really, and I will try just a little bit harder to explain how they work so they never have to feel confused or frustrated like I do. And I received a lot of training for these medication things! Just goes to prove that you really do learn something new every day!

Alright, I need to go get some new shoes I can walk in, hit the doctor’s office and then head over to the school to see what place my daughter gets in the science fair this year. Last year was a first place so the bar is high! I have pics of the project and it’s safe to put up now that the competition is over. More later!

E-MAIL Alert!! Please put me in YOUR inbox!!

November 23, 2011 at 10:38 pm (Day to Day, Pictures, School News, Shameless Self Promotion, Thank You, Updates) (, , , , , )

Lights On! Two chairs. One for me and one for you! See how lonely it looks here without you?? See how long the shadows fall for you? Reaching? Calling? See how far I can stretch a picture to go with a post?

This is definitely filed under, “Shameless Self Promotion”, but I just realized that I can now see who is subscribing to my site and who receives e-mail notifications every time I post! I know some of you out there have been signed up and getting e-mails from me since it has been available, but I was never able to view any of my loyal fans or see where these silly words were going out there. But now I can! I don’t know if the system changed or I just became more aware. Either way, I need a minute of YOUR time to make ME feel special!

I signed myself up to get my own posts and I am hoping that you will take a few minutes and sign yourself up, or try and re-sign your self up again. I’m not sure if it’s only the new subscribers who get listed for me and the old ones don’t. or maybe the e-mail notices are expired and need to be updated…I have no idea. I do know that some of you out there are slow on getting the notifications, so maybe it’s because they updated the system but you’re not in it yet. Anyway,  I know it can be a huge hassle because you have to go back to your e-mail and validate, but it was really easy. One click, seriously, and I was in! If you have been with me since the beginning I may never know you are out there! But at least I’ll know you’ve tried! (Don’t think about that too much because I won’t actually know if you tried or not, but let’s just say I will or can or should be able too.) Moving on….

Even if you are reading this site for the first time you should also sign up. This particular posting is not indicative of my entire site. I have lots of variety. I’m pretty funny too. I won’t lie to you though, sometimes this site really blows. It can be boring or silly or just plain stupid. Sometimes I post a lot and other times I let days and days go by without a single word. There is no theme and no consistency. Thank goodness it’s not how I actually make money. I would be very poor. Well, I’m pretty poor now, but that’s for another post. In fact, I just got accepted today into the Bachelor Nursing Program at the big college and that’s gonna cost even more money I don’t have from the job I still can’t get. See? As my loyal readers will notice, I kind of do have a theme, it’s called, “running off at the mouth and switching mid-paragraph between totally unrelated thoughts.”

I like to ramble. And I like to ramble using as many words as possible. As I was typing the”theme” explanation, I thought of that one word, ramble, that would have summed it up, but I kept typing the long explanation anyway. I’m also leaving all of this in too because it really drives home the point I was trying to make. And since you have probably forgotten the original topic anyway, like I often do, it won’t matter. So if this is the kind of thing you like to read when you are surfing the internet then you better sign up to that e-mail notice option RIGHT NOW!!  I mean, come on, give me a few days or weeks. You can always UN-subscribe!

Also, I post LOTS of pictures! And everybody loves pictures. I love pictures because I don’t have to read anything. And I have to say, some of my pictures are really good. you know, artsy good. Or just really clear and sharp. Detailed and packed with relevance, and, dare I say, some of them have actual, meaning. Oh my. So there’s always that! Teaser alert! I finally got a picture of that red-headed woodpecker! Yes I did! He is so beautiful. I will get him up here just as soon as I stop obsessing over the fact that I have no job and calm down and enjoy the holidays that are fast approaching and giving me heart palpitations at the same time. It doesn’t help that the evil facebook corporation keeps reminding me that I am the only one of my friends that does NOT have a job and therefore I am, essentially, a loser. I know that’s not really true, I am not the only one without a job, but some days, I tell ya…staying home all day and staring at a computer can really be isolating and that’s not good either. Then the extra-evil “Bejeweled Monster” gets me and I’m done for the day. See? I did it again. Just like that. Ramble. It’s weird right? No filter.

The link is at the top of my homepage in the right column. It’s the very first thing listed. Click it, type in your e-mail, type in the safety word, and hit subscribe!

Thank you thank you thank you! Now go read some more and browse around. If not my site, one of my linked sites to the right. Or just go to your home news source and scan around there. Hours and hours are looming ahead to be wasted at our leisure.

One last ramble. If you’ve read me in the last few months you know I am obsessed with that stupid Bejeweled game. It sucks up more of my time then I care to admit and you never get anything for it except a sore shoulder and a cramped up thumb from the same small, repetitive movements. I will literally play and hours will go by. It’s embarrassing. I play for three of us. My two kids and me. And I can get the high scores too. But it just gets wiped out every week and you have to start all over from zero. Frustrating. Anyhoo, I also have a smart phone now. Real smart. At first I was just using it for e-mails and to have the ability to be called for a job or alerted to a further interview AT ANY MOMENT! However, the only thing I do on the stupid thing all day long is play this game called, Words With Friends. I am sure everyone out there has heard of it. Well, how convenient that I can play it off my phone. Never out of touch! I usually lose at this game though. I can’t resist that buzzing sound my phone makes every few hours, or minutes, as someone makes their move and it’s my turn again. So sad. My life has become so sad. And in case you do play and were always wondering the maximum amount of games you can play at any one time?? The answer is 21. So limiting right? I have actually had people just quit me so they don’t have to play anymore. Whatever.

Wrapping up now. The big finish. There was a lot of info here. A lot that I can’t really remember and I am not re-reading. It looks like a lot and I need to get to my games. Last picture. Lights out! Later.

Neverending Halloween will be ending shortly.

November 5, 2011 at 1:18 pm (Day to Day, Holiday, Shameless Self Promotion, Thank You) (, , )

Don’t be fooled by those fake pumpkins. But they look so real! This is the last of the pictures I took in the same area as the bench. So I guess I can declare Halloween and the rest of the Holy Days over for another year.

Also, it would seem I have picked up a few more fans in the last few days. It’s a peculiar medium, and a strange way to communicate with the outside world. It’s usually just me, alone, typing whatever pops into my head, and then putting it out there, never really knowing where it will land. Sometimes you get lucky, like these last few days,  and I know some one is connecting with something I’ve written, but usually it just floats. That’s ok too because I write it for me anyway. I know it can’t possibly be just my family generating so many “hits”, there aren’t that many of us. So to everyone out there that keeps checking in, whether you comment, or like me, or just read and move on…

THANK YOU!!!

I should go do something weekend-like now. It’s pretty nice out for November in the Midwest. And my jaw is only hurting a little bit now. Teaser. Updates coming later! Everyone to the outdoors!

Blog Cred

November 4, 2011 at 3:39 pm (Day to Day, Holiday, Shameless Self Promotion, Updates) (, , , , , )

Isn’t that a terrible word combination?? It sounds like a disease or a fancy cheese. Anyway, I can thank my sissy for helping me construct postings with more depth and attention to detail. She was confused by some of the things that are written and why, and it did occur to me that my last post could seem cryptic and confusing. If you go back and read, at least the last four days, Oct. 31 to the present, AND read the comments, you will be all caught up and in the know. While you are there, in the comment section, click that “like” button too, please!! It’s right there under my words—THAT’S what gives me all the “blog cred”–like street cred, but in the blogging world–yea yea I know, I never used to care either. And I feel ya’ if you don’t want to read posts AND comments too. I know I never do. Especially if there are like 50 of them. Luckily for you, there’s usually only 1 or 2, and they are in really short sentences. My reply’s are usually what take the longest to read. They are like mini-posts within the big posts. I do love to write! At any rate….Just do it!

I couldn’t think of what other picture to use for this, so I just put up pumpkins. Kid designed and cut. It’s awesome because I literally, do not have to do anything anymore by way of participation in this Halloween process. Nothing! They can carry and move them, draw them, cut them, gut them, and design and finish them. They can even use fire to light them. They said I could post their costume pic too, so that’s below.

As you can see, they look less than thrilled at having to stand there. Lately if they get that close it’s because they want to punch each other. I guilted them though with the whole, “it’s probably the last Halloween costume picture I’ll ever get with you two” spiel. It worked. Sort of. If you look close at the bottom left corner you can see my finger in the view. I had to take these pictures quick because they refused to pose and this is the best, and only, pic I got with both of them in frame. Teenagers are fun!

I have to go comment some more on my newest comments. And again, thank you all for reading!! I found money on the street today so I am about to update that little category. Hold on to your Friday, cause we are on a roll!

Street Money Update! WTF-It’s-Been-19-Months!! Edition

September 24, 2011 at 3:07 pm (Day to Day, Money, Shameless Self Promotion, Street Money) (, , , , , , )

So I checked back over my pages and yes, it has been 19 months. I know some of you are out there shaking your heads because you just can’t believe that it has been THAT long. And that you have been reading this crazy blog for longer than that. AND that you actually remember that I pick up loose change off the ground whenever I see it and keep a running log. And that I have my kids and BF sucked into the madness too!

It’s all true. The last posting was for February of 2010. I would say that’s pretty bad. We have still been collecting the money, in fact, that picture above is the bowl we put all of last years loose change into. (I have a separate container for the 2011 money). Stevie just found a dime today! I will picture and post that whole mess later tonight! Are you excited?? Are you going to change your plans and stay in just to see if I actually do it?? I am on a roll here. I think this is three consecutive days. But don’t change your plans—Shameless Self Promotion Alert—just subscribe to the site (upper right corner) and you can get an e-mail whenever I add my “two-cents” to the world. See, with laughs like that how can you NOT subscribe. Let’s just get to the count shall we?

Now, before I fell off the money wagon, I would post amounts as found, on what day and where. Intimate details about this dirty, filthy, left-behind money that you may or may not have cared about. I used to even write all that stuff down, Major OCD, the date/place/amount/condition…it really was/is a sickness. Takes alot of time too. Obviously I ran out of all that time during school, which is good thing so that I was able to re-direct that mental focus on more important tasks, like getting my degree. So it just got put in a random cup and here it is.

It’s still all 100% off the street. Or sidewalk, store floor, vending area, bowling alley, etc., etc. You get the idea. We found it. We picked it up. Pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters. That’s all we scored last year. Nothing big like previous years, and no bills. As the economy has buttoned down so has the available loose change. People are holding on to it. And when they do drop it, they pick it up. It’s still pretty slim this year too. We have some, and I will update the main pages to the left and try to keep track now with random posts as the money enters our lives in real time.

Unless of course I win the lottery. We have Mega Millions here and I just found out it rolled over again. I have a good feeling for Tuesday….and in that case, I will never post again. No wait. I will. But I’ll change the blog and format to:

All The Places You Can Go To And All The Things You Can Buy When You Are Filthy Stinking Rich And Just Shy Of Pretty.

It’s a working title. I can always tweak that later. Here’s what you read all the way through for:

Current date: September 24, 2011

Money found from 2/21/2010 to 12/31/2010 (that’s LAST year):

Total= $7.09 Seven Dollars and Nine Cents. Anti-climactic for sure.

BUT…If you add that giant number to the previous amount from the first few weeks in 2010, you get the equally unimpressive number of:

GRAND TOTAL= $10.89. Woohoo. Ten dolla and eighty-nine cent! Sad.

Hey it’s a way to pass the time. Here are some loose change stats you might be interested in, and super easy to list because all the money is sitting right in front of me!

First of all, this money is DIRTY. Seriously, it’s gross. Dusty and rusty and covered in white powder (road salt? I hope) and corrosion. Some of the coins are hard to read. They’ve lost their definition and edges. I had a hard time determining the denomination. With enough wear a penny can wear to the size of a dime and they both take on a sick grey color.

Second, the money stinks. Really. It just smells bad. Like rusty metal covered in dust. Gets in the back of your teeth and makes your mouth water. Yum.

BREAKDOWN:

124 Pennies

9 Nickels

14 Dimes

16 Quarters

So the pennies have it, but look at those quarters! Using that ability to roll away fast and lodge somewhere inconvenient and out of reach. Good for them! They’re still no match for my money-hunters. My kids will move all kinds of stuff to get at the coins they spot on the ground. They will squeeze in and work together, stuntman style, to retrieve that lost change. But never dangerously or with risk to life and limb. I mean it’s still just garbage on the ground, whether it’s money or not, and that’s not worth an injury.

So that’s it. I hope you enjoyed this update from nearly two years ago. Click on these words to go to the main 2010 page of money and if you still crave a little more money fun, feel free to check those numbers above. Do the math. See if the coins add up to what I said. I counted in dollar increments, then separated by denomination and counted those, but I’m not re-checking my math. It all gets dumped into a giant Pepsi bank anyway that we are trying to fill up so we can take to the bank and see what it will hold. Coins only. It’s an OCD within another OCD. The fun just never ends over here. Cha-Cha-Cha-Ching!

HAPPY FRIDAY!! Oh. Wait.

September 22, 2011 at 6:30 pm (Day to Day, Drunk Posts, Shameless Self Promotion) (, , , , , , , )

Well globally it’s Friday somewhere right?

It’s amazing how hard puberty hits and also how annoying it can be at times. But with my magical, greenish-yellow elixir, of all that is calm and serene, two teenagers doing everything in their power to drive me crazy seems all so wonderfully “after-school special”.

I just thought I’d take a minute to acknowledge a fellow blogging site who took time out of their postings to “like” me! This is what I get sent to me:

Howdy,
imonthebandwagon recently read your post, titled NEW FEATURE!!!, and enjoyed it enough to click the ‘Like’ button. Congratulations.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

September 2, 2011 at 9:34 am (Day to Day, Drunk Posts, Holiday, Shameless Self Promotion, Tips to Live) (, , , )

TO ME!!

It’s probably kind of weird that my first post, after quite a while, is about me, but, hey, it is MY site!

So anyway, that picture is of a drink that I am NOT having right now, but doesn’t it look tasty? It’s my own recipe. I call it “Quick Margarita”.

Just put ice in a cup, pour in the tequila, the sweet/sour mix, triple sec (if you have it, it’s nice but not necessary), stir it up with your fingers, and sprinkle salt on top of the ice. I just use regular old salt from the shaker. As you can see I got a little fancy with the salt around the edge. This is also very easy. Before you put the ice and alcohol in the cup just swish some water on the rim and salt like you would a sweet corn cob, then follow the directions as given above. That’s it.  If you absolutely MUST shake it, follow my recipe, pour the whole thing into a shaker, shake it, and pour it back in the glass. At least now you will have liquor residue on the rim and the salt can stick to that!

Time required to create this masterpiece: As fast as you can pour stuff in a cup without spilling.

After a few of these quick drinks, you will find that it becomes even easier as you start skimping on the slower aspects of the recipe. Salt? Eh…we can skip that. Triple sec? I mean, come on the sweet/sour is prob good enough. Sweet/sour? The glass? Tequila drinks just as well from the bottle as it does from a cup.

So anyway, that’s it for now. It’s my birthday. I am 42. I became an RN just a few weeks ago. It has been my adult goal for the last 5 years. I am happy. No job yet, but I am waiting. Apps are out and I still have 15 days on the master plan. Panic will ensue then.

It’s supposed to be hot again here in Chicago. A blazing 90-95 that will feel like 100-105 thanks to our nasty humidity. Stay cool as you can and have a drink for me/with me/because of me! It’s our day! Have a great one!

One last thing. I’d like to dedicate this little bit of silliness to my cousin Lorraine. She’s an avid follower of my goofy site here and she’s basically, just all-around, awesome! She’s definitely what people call “a cool chick”. This is for you! You rock!

I can finally use my cup!!!

August 10, 2011 at 6:06 pm (Day to Day, Home Improvement, Nurse News, School News, Shameless Self Promotion, Thank You, Updates) (, , , , , )

It’s officially official!! I am an RN!!!

I passed NCLEX and even got my official letter in the mail telling me I passed and would I please fill out this one last form and send 50 more dollars to the state and we will issue a brand new fancy official nurse license!!! GLADLY I will. I had that check written and mailed within an hour!

I took the test at the end of July, got my internet result in 2 days and got the official letter last week. I haven’t posted because, one, the shock and numbing disbelief that it could really be done and true still hasn’t worn off, and two, the BF was on vacation so we took that week to do TONS of back breaking, hard labor on the house and catch up with all the chores we have neglected up to this point. I cannot begin to tell you how good (and suspicious) it feels not to have ANYTHING to study for. Literally. Nothing. I am done with that whole part. Now it’s just adding letters to my name and RN status. I will just become MORE of a nurse, with specialized skills and advanced degrees. That feels so good to type.

Anyway, the house looks great. Nice and fresh and up-kept. We even ordered the last of the windows to be put in before winter. Laundry is done. House is clean. I went thru my school notes and recycled the things I will never need again. And I am weeding out the closet-crap that has built up from many months of shoving things away, out of sight. Even my mom and sister were shocked at how clean the house actually looked! That means it must have been pretty bad. Oh well, no time to worry now. It will stay this clean for approximately 5 more days as the kids are due home from their very, seemingly, long vacation. I miss them a ton, actually. This particular 2 weeks seems extra long this year. Time ticks. They keep me up and moving forward.

There is still much to do, but I feel happy. And hopeful. The hard part of my 1000 day journey is over. I have 38 days left of it to get a job. Then school must start again. For all of us. Kids are rounding out Junior High, 7th and 8th grades this year, and the BF and I are in a race to the Bachelor’s. Who will get theirs first?? My classes start next week and I think I have fewer to take.  The BF’s start the week after, but his courses are shorter AND online. So I will keep you posted. Then we have moving to think about and a whole other 1000 day plan to institute, although I think I am going with 500 days this time, with possible extensions.

It’s exciting to go down a brand new road, I’ve been on that other one a long time now. Even though I said it publicly on facebook, I will say it here too…this whole trip was not possible without the love and support of my kids, my BF, my family and friends, who constantly had to hear every detail and live thru every one of my ups and downs, passes and failures, and fears of failing, whether warranted or not. All the late nights, the early mornings, the constant brokeness; the take out food, the dirty house, the piles and piles of laundry and stacks of books; for all the stuff I missed and all the things I was too tired to do; for wearing all those wrinkly clothes and never complaining!! I love my kids. I love my family. I love my friends. I love my BF. Without him by my side and patiently waiting for the end, and taking care of everything that I couldn’t…thank you. I love you. I could not be here without you.

And that’s really it for now. Last chapter of this gripping tale coming right up. Where will I work??? Mystery! Stay tuned! Here is one final shot of the proof that I had to have to believe my dream had finally come true!

What a glorious, beautiful 4-letter word! Say it with me….PASS!!! Cheers!

Hot in the City….

May 23, 2010 at 8:33 pm (Day to Day, Exercise, Find The NY Coffee Cup, Hiatus, News, School News, Shameless Self Promotion, Updates, Warrior Dash) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

It is Sunday, May 23, in Chicago. It’s a blazing 90 degrees and I have been drinking margarita’s all afternoon. This is my first post, post-nursing, first year. I am done for the summer! Passed successfully the course, the final and the final-final for the past year of material. I will be enjoying this afternoon and evening and start reading some more stuff on Monday. It’s recommended. But, no pressure so its really more for fun. Haha.

Anyway, let me rewind the week, but fast-forward the boring parts (zip it Amanda…some people do not think this is ALL boring like you…har har) anyhoo…let’s see…oh yes…my sister (Amanda) squeezed out yet ANOTHER child into this world…good job! Welcome Everet Jase! Congrats to the family!

I passed my classes, I registered for fall, I paid for fall (lots of money I don’t actually have…and don’t even qualify for using student aid…but hoping for good luck with some working scholarship money, and I bought some lottery tickets also as a back up plan.

Saturday, myself and the family (kids and bf), babysat for the new bean so my sister could go to a wedding and try to wear sexy clothes and drink for the first time in 9 months. She looked cute but the alcohol didn’t take. She tried her best but we are thinking that the bartender thought she was still a pregnant lady and gave her non-alcohol drinks! We have to get that baby weight off! Which leads me to our next big thing…Warrior Dash! It is coming fast and neither of us is ready and I don’t have a baby as an excuse for my chub…only fast food and laziness. So that means you get to follow along on the progress all summer! I may have pictures…they are guaranteed to be funnier this year because they have that same wall for me to not be able to climb over again AND a new net-wall-army-thing that I will probably never get my big booty up on. So you’ll definitely want to stay tuned.

After the babysitting, 3 am, yikes, and an hour drive home, we get to bed at 4. Kids leave at 11 ish to go to an other-family-thing with their dad, and I get the idea to go for a nice bike ride with the bf, you know, get a jump start on the massive diet and exercise program that begins tomorrow for this entire household. The “Summer of Slim”, the  “Focus on Fat”, the  “Abolishment of Adipose”…we need a catchy slogan for my program, especially since we will all be crying by Tuesday about how hungry and tired we are of this horrible plan…and how we’d rather just stay fat…no no, not this year. My goal is my son. Slim by seventh…that’s good too…hmmmm….anyway, it’s happening and I will be unliked for some time this summer.

Back to the bike ride…we decided on a modest 9 miles (thank goodness the bf doesn’t listen to me, because I first suggested the 19 mile loop we were doing last year, which we would still be doing right now). So, to the trail, on the bikes, riding, riding, riding, sweating, hills, 90 degrees, more hills, sweating, still riding…9 miles is really long, even on a bike, if you haven’t done it in a year, finally down to 2.8 left, I was like, what???, man I thought we were done, but we made it back to the car and even went past and back to make it a nice even 10 miles. Felt good. Felt sexy, in that sweaty, I-just-exercised-don’t-I-glisten-in-the-sun kind of way! And then driving home we go right past this Mexican restaurant with awesome margarita’s and I said that’s what we should do…have margarita’s for the rest of the day. So we change, drive back, drink margarita’s, eat guacamole and enchilada’s with green sauce, and watch the Hawks win it for the city! But the fun doesn’t end there….we need home margarita ingredients!

To the liquor store…got it all, Tequila, mixer, salt, limes….and more heat. It’s still like 80 something outside, no air conditioning inside, wouldn’t put it on anyway because it’s only May, and it’s 8 o’clock pm. I’m on, like my third glass, but it’s hard to tell because it’s never really an empty-fill thing, it’s more like a continual addition to what is already in the glass thing. At any rate, it’s lovely, and it’s getting hard to type or see, because dusk is upon us here in the Midwest. My kids should be home soon. Dirty and sweaty from their day and needing showers for school in the a.m. Well, shower for one anyway…the girl broke her arm again and is limited to baths with her cast sticking out…I have pictures!

I have lots and lots and lots more stuff to tell and write and show and post, I have missed so much since Easter because of school, but I shall have the whole summer to amuse my loyal fan base!

I also have pictures but cannot post any because I am not typing this on my computer where the pictures are. My computer is trying to get reconfigured for better speed and quality of content. So this will have to be good for now.

I have money to post! I have found alot of spare change in the last few months. I have saved it all for you in one location so I can total it up and be very dramatic about it. And I have Cool Words galore thanks to my girl…she has been saving them and is anxious to start helping me. I have Warrior Dash training, and PF 5-Mile training, and get-my-son-slim-by end-of-summer training and healthy cooking (?) attempting, and music! Music music…I have been so slacked…playlists and inspiration….you do not want to miss any of it!!

Also I want to thank my followers, particularly the one who sent me the notice about the creator of my favorite coffee cup…the New York Coffee Cup….we are happy to serve you…blue with gold trim….passing away recently. I have the Time magazine write-up abut it and him and the iconic piece of history he left behind. Thank you for keeping me informed when I cannot!  If you want to see more about the cup, click here, NYCC, and if you just want more, I will be back soon with all the good stuff…hopefully late late tonight or tomorrow once the computer is fixed, the kids hit school and I hit the gym (training starts NOW), I also need some healthy food items in the house…we are down to coffee, 4 slices of bread, almond and rice milk, and eggs…which I am going to go boil right now for tomorrow.

Until then, have another drink, maybe one more for tonight, and enjoy the heat wherever you are. It’s good to be back! Cheers.
